プロジェクトに携わらせていただいています

望月が担当する2階は、今回の計画の建築において、最も神聖で重要な空間と位置づけられています

求められているのは、本格的な神社様式そのものでも、数寄屋様式そのものでもありません

しかしながら、“本物”と感じられる空間を目指し、シンプルでありながら端正に

「和」の空間美を表現することが求められています

 

望月が提唱する「伝統の進化」という理念を、アメリカの地で具現化できるこの機会は、望月工務店にとって、かけがえのない挑戦であり、喜びでもあります

先日提出したプランについては、建築主様よりご好評をいただき、まずはひとつの節目を迎えることが出来、今後も対話を重ねながら図面精度を高め、より良い建築として形にしてまいります

 

海を越えたこの地で、日本の技と心を伝え、
その中に新たな息吹を宿すことができるように、丁寧に、真摯に取り組んでまいります

 

 

We are honored to collaborate with Toda Construction in Shinshiro City on a project in Portland, Oregon, USA. Our involvement encompasses design and planning grounded in traditional techniques and craftsmanship, alongside providing technical support to local American artisans.

The second floor, under Mochizuki’s responsibility, is designated as the most sacred and significant space within this architectural endeavor.

What is sought here is neither strictly authentic shrine style nor strictly sukiya style.
However, the goal is to create a space that feels “authentic,” expressing the beauty of Japanese aesthetics in a simple yet refined manner.

This opportunity to embody my philosophy of “the evolution of tradition” on American soil is both an irreplaceable challenge and a source of great joy for Mochizuki Construction.

The plan we recently submitted received favorable feedback from the client, marking a significant milestone.
Moving forward, we will refine the drawings through continued dialogue to shape this into an even better building.

Here, across the sea, we will diligently and sincerely strive to convey Japanese craftsmanship and spirit,
while infusing it with new vitality.
